NOVEMBER 2011 : AWESOME ACCOUNTANT REQUIRED

We are now seeking a high calibre Accountant to join our growing practice. Not only will you be motivated and a team player but also have that great sort of personality that lets you slot straight in and be prepared to partake in some fun as well as hard work.

Technical Performance

• Shows an understanding and ability to use the products and procedures used within the practice ie MYOBAO, Acclipse iFirm, Business Fitness content, MYOB Business Packages, Cash Manager, Xero and Banklink.
• Can prepare financial statements and supporting documents to Director review stage.
• Can review draft financial statements & tax returns as prepared by other team members.
• Identifies technical problems and suggests solutions.
• Carries out basic research of issues and problems and suggests solutions.
• Applies theory from training courses in practical work.

Client Focus

• Competently obtains information from client by telephone, letter, email or face-to-face.
• Maintains effective working relations with clients & client’s staff.
• Creates a positive initial impact and builds a client's confidence in his/her ability.
• Suggests areas of improvement or enhancement in client business & procedures.
• Ensures they are properly briefed prior to a meeting with, or requesting information from, the client.

Personal Attributes

• Prior experience, exceptional technical accounting skills, an eye for detail and excellent communication skills are pre-requisites for the role.
• You will be able to ensure the timeliness and quality of your work.
• You will have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
